One more month.

One more month.

I can make it one more month.

I don't think I mentioned this here, either. I've been bed-ridden for the last two months. Bed rest, is the polite way of putting it. Lazy sow is the not-so-polite way. Pre-eclampsia is a bitch. I'm doing everything I can to keep my blood pressure down, but it's just barely working. So, here I stay.

Samuel Miguel Salazar, you'd better arrive on time young man or I'm going to be right put out.

...He's not even born yet and already I do the "mom uses all three names as a scare tactic" thing. Awesome.

Pretty much, yeah! Makes things a lot easier. I'm the 11th of November, Samuel's supposed to be the 26th, and Ramon's is the 13th of December.

So we'll have three birthdays and Christmas all sewn up. Expensive time of year.

I'd point out mine's next month too, but I'm thinking of swearing off them. I do enough things that are bad for my health, quitting birthdays might help.

I can't think of him as your son yet. He's just... this lumpy bit on a sonogram. As soon as you send around those birth announcements with the soft-edged photo in the hospital bassinet I'll start thinking of him as a separate entity.
You know I have no experience in those things. I'll happily be the amusing uncle who teaches him slightly rude behaviors though, and I'll get him lots of wonderful works of literature every boy should read.
