WOW.
This is amazing.
T is amazing.
Scotland is amazing.
What's even more amazing is that, instead of doing the typical tourist thing and staying in an anthill of a hotel and taking snapshots and stuff... we're wandering. Just... everything is seen either on foot or on a train or out of the window of a cab, never staying in one place for too long, crashing in hostels for a night and then moving again.
I've never done anything like this before. My traveling has always been done in an organized, planned, completely on-the-rails way. We are so far off the rails now that I don't think I can ever go back.
I'm seeing the world through his eyes. And it impresses me and touches me and thrills me all at once.
We're discovering each other all over again. All the barriers are starting to come down. We're telling each other more stories, things about our pasts that were happy instead of crap. It's such a nice change of pace. For both of us.
I don't think we've argued once since we started this 'birthday' trip. Instead, we just talk. About anything and everything we can come up with. I don't feel so damn defensive about stuff anymore. I never should have to begin with. Silly me.
Although I do think I'm going to book us a room at a bed and breakfast for tonight. I've got PLANS for him, darn it.

Hmm. That was Ruthven. I do not recall giving him my cell number... but hey. He asked me and T to go check out his castle! Forget a B&B, we're going to stay in a smegging castle! AWESOME!
I hope it's not too cold. No such thing as central heating in those things...
